Our publication standard

A page is publishable only when it helps a traveler make a decision that a map pin alone cannot answer. That means explaining the character of the place, the kind of visit it rewards, how much time to reserve, and which facts must still be checked with an official source.

We prefer a smaller collection of defensible pages over automatic coverage of every possible destination. Cities shown as “in editorial review” are discovery entries, not finished guides, and do not receive indexable detail pages until their content gate passes.

02HOW WE PUBLISH

AI-assisted, visibly labeled

AI may help summarize source material, propose structure, translate an approved draft, or generate alternatives for an editor to compare. It may not invent first-hand experience, pretend to have visited a place, or turn uncertain information into a confident claim. Published pages that use this workflow display an AI-assisted label.

Human review checks whether the recommendation is specific, whether translations preserve the same meaning, whether sources support the factual layer, and whether the page repeats generic phrasing found elsewhere in the atlas.

03HOW WE PUBLISH

Sources and fast-changing facts

Attraction pages include a source ledger and a source-checked date. We favor official websites for admission rules and access notices, and open knowledge projects for stable identity, geography, and media provenance. Wikipedia may provide useful context, but it is not treated as the sole authority for a fast-changing operational claim.

Prices, opening hours, transport timetables, border rules, weather, accessibility arrangements, and safety notices can change without warning. We either omit them, qualify them with a date, or point to an official source. Readers should always recheck live details before departure.

04HOW WE PUBLISH

Corrections and updates

Readers can send corrections from the community form or by email. We review the cited evidence, update the page when warranted, and refresh the visible checked date for meaningful factual reviews. Minor style edits do not receive a misleading freshness date.

05HOW WE PUBLISH

Ratings, contributors, and commercial separation

Votes and place ratings are traveler signals. We use abuse prevention and moderation, and we do not sell positive ratings. Community submissions remain pending until reviewed. Advertising, memberships, press invitations, or affiliate commissions do not guarantee coverage and do not purchase a ranking.
